On behalf of our client in the public health centre, we are now recruiting for a Senior Occupational therapist on a part-time (0.5 WTE) basis. The role is based in the Tullamore area. The chosen candidate will provide speech and language and occupational therapy support to users with complex needs in the area.

The requirements of the role are as follows. This list is not exhaustive:

  • Responsible for comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Make clinical decisions for complex cases.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions in various settings.
  • Communicate assessment results and recommendations effectively.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with standards.
  • Collaborate with service users, families, and staff in treatment planning.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support staff supervision.
  • Maintain professional standards and support team performance.
  • Foster relationships with colleagues and professionals.
  • Provide support for communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Participate actively in team performance management.
  • Attend clinics, meetings, and contribute to policy development.
  • Seek guidance for cases beyond professional competence.
  • Support health promotion activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality, ethics, and legislative compliance.
  • Operate within professional and local guidelines.
  • Fulfil training and professional development requirements.
  • Engage in clinical supervision and peer support.
  • Contribute to health and safety practices and risk management.
  • Coordinate service delivery, allocate resources, and manage administrative duties.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €31,019.00-€36,524.00 per year
