Due to continued expansion in this very exciting and progressive sector – we have an immediate vacancy for a Heat Pump Service Technician for primarily the Leinster area.
Job description
We are looking to recruit a heat pump service technician to commission, service, maintain and repair heat pump systems. The ideal candidate will have a plumbing/mechanical background, heat pump installation experience and an understanding of the electrical side of heating systems would be very beneficial but not essential.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and expediency should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organisational and troubleshooting skills.

- Service & Maintenance
The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with providing service and installation services to domestic and commercial heat pump units with refrigeration circuits.
The ideal candidate will have the following Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for heat pump systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions
- Providing logs of service calls to accounts dept for Invoicing.
- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.
- Assisting with customers’ queries by phone if required.
Technician Requirements:
- Technician Level 6 or Trade Qualification in Plumbing / Electrical or Refrigeration. We will also consider candidates with proven experience in this area.
- You will ideally hold your current F-GAS certificate
- 2-4 years’ experience (preferably in refrigeration experience)
- Full clean Irish driver’s license.
- Understanding principles of heat pumps, refrigeration, and heating systems.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing ventilation and heat pump systems and equipment.
- Identifying faults on equipment.
- Heat pump refrigeration experience ideal.
- Proficient in reading electrical / plumbing schematics and work schedules.
