On behalf of our public sector client, we have an immediate requirement for a Health Care Assistant in the Moate/Ballymore areas of Westmeath as part of the home support team.
This role is for 35-39 hours per week, dependent on candidate requirements and based on a 2-6 month contract with view to extend.
Flexibility around working hours essential.
Duties:
- Assisting with care of clients in their own homes
- Personal care
- Showering
- Dressing
- Getting client ready for the day
- Assisting multidisciplinary team where required
Requirements:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Full QQI Level 5 (or above) major award in Healthcare (must include Care Skills, Care of the Elderly and communication modules)
- Previous caring experience
- Full Driver’s License
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work support calls of varying lengths
