We are currently recruiting an experienced Chef for a busy nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and caring chef who enjoys preparing nutritious meals in a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for residents, ensuring that all food is produced to a high standard and in line with dietary requirements.
Duties will include:
Preparing breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and modified diets as required
Following HACCP and food safety procedures at all times
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
Working with nursing and care staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
Managing stock rotation and kitchen supplies
Supporting a positive and respectful environment for residents
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Chef, ideally in a nursing home, hospital, healthcare or catering setting
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards
Ability to prepare meals for a range of dietary needs
Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team
Good communication skills
A caring and respectful approach to working in a residential care setting
