On behalf of our clients in the construction sector, we are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Senior Civil Engineer to take a lead role within their project development and pre-construction team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the review and interpretation of complex construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation at pre-construction stage, including preparation of technical submittals.
- Produce and oversee detailed CAD drawings, layouts, and design take-offs using AutoCAD or similar software.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, engineers, and contractors, providing clear and solutions-focused technical support.
- Lead the development of bespoke precast chamber and civil engineering designs, ensuring solutions are practical, compliant, and cost-effective.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to align engineering outputs with project requirements, commercial objectives, and production capacity.
- Conduct and oversee site inspections, ensuring compliance with Irish, British, and European standards.
- Identify and resolve design or constructability issues early in the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of pre-construction processes, workflows, and engineering standards.
- Support tender submissions, pricing reviews, and client presentations where required.
Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Proven experience in civil engineering or construction; precast concrete, utilities, or civil infrastructure experience is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); Revit, Civil 3D, or similar software is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Experience with site inspections and compliance with industry standards.
- Understanding of construction methods and heavy plant/equipment application.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of Irish construction regulations and standards.
- Full driving licence and valid Safe Pass.

Salary: €65,000 – €80,000
