Allpro Recruitment is excited to partner with a global leader in food processing, recruiting
General Operatives for multiple sites in the Munster region. This role will involve working as
part of a factory processing team to produce meat products while meeting daily and weekly
production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
● Teamwork and Initiative:
○ Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet production
goals.
● Shift Work:
○ Operate on a shift schedule, with flexibility for rotating shifts as required.
● Factory Work:
○ Perform duties across various sections of the meat processing plant, gaining
exposure to different roles and responsibilities.
● Physical Demands:
○ The role is physically demanding, requiring lifting, standing for long periods, and
possibly performing repetitive tasks.
● Pre-Start and Safety Checks:
○ Perform pre-start checks, hygiene, and safety assessments as directed to ensure
the work area is safe and compliant with all standards.
● Equipment and Machinery Safety:
○ Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or safety concerns to the Line
Supervisor. Ensure machinery is used safely.
● Assembly Line Work:
○ Operate on the assembly line, performing tasks such as packing, processing,
and ensuring efficient flow.
● Cleaning:
○ Maintain cleanliness in the factory, including floors, tools, and equipment, to meet
high hygiene standards required in food processing.
● Product Loading:
○ Assist in loading meat products onto refrigerated trucks for transportation.
● Documentation and Recording:
○ Record necessary checks and inspections as required by the Line Supervisor.
● Product Quality Assurance:
○ Ensure that products meet company standards and report any deviations or quality issues to the Line Supervisor promptly.
● Training and Development:
○ Participate in all required training, including safety protocols, company procedures, and English language skills training (if applicable).
● Safety Compliance:
○ Report accidents, injuries, or near-misses and assist in investigations as part of the company’s safety policy.
● Lean Manufacturing:
○ Participate in Lean Manufacturing processes and continuously improve efficiency through embracing new methods and approaches.
● Other Duties:
○ Perform other tasks as assigned by the Line Supervisor as needed to ensure smooth factory operations.
Other Details:
● Annual Leave:
○ 4 weeks of paid annual leave.
● Training Provided:
○ Full training will be provided, including all company operating procedures.
● Work Environment:
○ Work will take place in a factory setting with cold environments due to meat
processing and refrigeration requirements.
The company fully funds English classes for candidates that are successful in the
recruitment process. Fluent English is not a requirement for these positions but the
organisation invests in those who wish to learn.
