On behalf of our client in public health, we are seeking a motivated and compassionate Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality services to children, young people, and families. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with families, carers, professionals, and community agencies to promote the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the needs, strengths, and risks relating to children and families.
- Develop and implement care plans and interventions to support positive outcomes.
- Manage a caseload in accordance with legislation, policy, and professional standards.
- Undertake child protection and welfare assessments where required.
- Work closely with families, foster carers, schools, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate and timely case records.
- Attend case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings as necessary.
- Promote best practice and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational policies.
Essential Requirements
- A recognised qualification in Social Work.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Knowledge of child protection and welfare legislation and practice in Ireland.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A full clean driving licence and access to transport may be required.
