On behalf of our client, a leading nursery store in Tullamore, we are now recruiting a Store Manager to join their team. This is a new position, whereby the Store Manager has full responsibility for all aspects of the Store.
The Role:
– Recruit, hire and train all new staff members in line with customer service levels required
– Act as Line Manager to all Part-time & Full time employees.
– Develop and maintain a schedule for employees centered on holiday and other busy sales periods
– Daily management of staff, including completing and checking rotas, holding regular meetings and briefing the team on new products and promotions
– Attend Trade Fairs and exhibitions, both national & international
– Full responsibility for ordering stock on selected brands, and point of contact with Brand Representatives
– Weekly meeting with Directors to report back on all aspects of Store Performance
– Maintain correct inventory levels, ensure stocking, implement purchasing plans, and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals
– Developing & implementing social media monthly plan
– Business Development; identify new brands & products suitable for the brand
– Dealing & managing customer complaints and aftersales issues
– Ensuring that premises and service levels are maintained to company standards
– Promoting brands and auditing the performance of key product lines
– Ecommerce management ensuring set up of all new products arriving into store, and ensuring all promotions are set up online
– Maintenance of all instore pricing and displays
– Providing product demonstrations to customers
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years experience in a retail management or strong supervisory role
- Previous experience in a nursery or baby equipment store / environment
- Strong marketing capabilities an advantage
- Excellent people management skills essential, must be able to guide and lead a team while working with them to maximise full team potential
- Strong IT skills
- Proven track record in sales, achieving targets and working to KPIs
