The Operations Manager will oversee the supply chain, managing procurement, stock, and operations to ensure smooth and efficient processes. They will source cost-effective, high-quality products aligned with our client’s goals, negotiate favorable supplier terms, and foster strong partnerships. Key responsibilities include managing stock levels, order dispatch, and service requirements, optimizing business functions, and leading warehouse and procurement teams to drive continuous improvement. The role emphasizes balancing cost with value, quality, and availability to support company profitability.

Responsibilities Overview:

Supplier Management:

  • Conduct supplier audits and reviews to ensure alignment with company goals and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage telecommunications contracts, supplier performance, and rebate agreements.
  • Maintain supplier information and foster positive relations.

Supply, Demand, and Stock Management:

  • Forecast demand using sales data and manage stock levels to meet demand.
  • Oversee inventory management, conduct audits, and implement sustainable practices.
  • Ensure suppliers meet ethical and environmental standards.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Coordinate logistics and manage third-party providers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor performance and develop contingency plans for supply disruptions.

Process Improvement and Automation:

  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT to integrate systems and report on improvements.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the Warehouse and Procurement teams, conducting performance reviews.
  • Foster collaboration and ensure effective workload distribution.

Cost Control and Procurement Strategy:

  • Balance cost, quality, and availability in procurement; implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and negotiate supplier terms.

Risk Management:

  • Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and collaborate with insurance providers on contracts.
