Factory Operatives

On behalf of our client, a glass manufacturing plant, we are recruiting Factory Operatives for both permanent and temporary contracts.

Factory Operators are a core member of the production team with responsibility for the manufacture, inspection, and packaging of glass products and components as per Quality System Procedures and specifications. They will work within a team environment to achieve site metric goals of yield, efficiency, output and cycle time.

The ideal candidate will have:

Education: Leaving certificate or equivalent


· Experience working in a team manufacturing environment

· Previous experience of working as a Production Operator is a plus

· Good knowledge Safety standards

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential- must be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English

· Strong manual handling skills and work ethic

· Forklift licence preferred


· Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend policies, procedures, and processes

· Good hand-eye coordination

· Demonstrated understanding of basic math functions

· Effective communication skills; good interpersonal skills

· Strong teamwork with an ability to work under own initiative


· Prepare product for shipment, including cleaning, limited inspecting, packaging, and shipping newly manufactured products

· Perform assembly and packaging operations in compliance with documented policies and procedures.

· Operate equipment and tooling

· Participate in the identification of quality issues and and work with management to develop and implement solutions

· Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment. Support maintenance of equipment and calibration

· May include the provision of material handling on a short term or temporary basis to cover holiday, absence, work load increases or other unforeseen circumstances

· Perform other duties as assigned

Hours of work are 8am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary, Permanent
