Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

On behalf of our client based in Tullamore, we are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy team on a permanent, part-time basis. This role will preferably be worked over three full working days at a total of 24 hrs per week.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Processing purchase bills and invoices
  • Drafting sales invoices and following up on unpaid debtors
  • Completing account and bank reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Reconciling credit card statements
  • Assisting with management reporting and business analysis
  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and monthly variance reports
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns, VAT returns as well as other statutory returns.

Experience/Requirements

  • Experience in The Big Red Book accounting software (required)
  • Part qualified ACCA/ACA or similar (preferred)
  • 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel
