Accounts Assistant

We are delighted to partner with a leading speciality construction/manufacturing company near Monasterevin, Co Kildare. We are now recruiting for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join their team. This is a permanent role, with flexibility around working hours for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Processing purchase bills and invoices
  • Assisting with job costings and pricing
  • Drafting sales invoices and following up on unpaid debtors
  • Completing account and bank reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Reconciling credit card statements
  • Payroll preparation, timesheets and ROS management
  • Assisting with management reporting and business analysis
  • Assisting with preparation of annual budgets and monthly variance reports
  • Preparation of tax returns, VAT returns as well as other statutory returns.
  • General bookkeeping and administrative duties
  • Some purchasing duties
  • Ad-hoc duties as they arise

Experience/Requirements

  • Experience in Sage accounting software (required)
  • Part qualified accountant or accounting technician (preferred)
  • 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel

Working week:

  • Part-time role – 24-32 hours per week (flexible)
  • Office-based
  • Flexible in how the hours are structured. Open to 5 short days or 3 longer days, for the right candidate
